The Pegasus - hand sculpted from soft wax and cast into argentium silver, surrounded by sterling silver sandcast clouds and stars. the necklace has a built in clasp for a seamless look, and comes with a custom satin display pouch and a polishing cloth.

I was first inspired to create this necklace when I read about the origins of Pegasus - in Greek mythology, he was born from the blood of the beheaded gorgon Medusa and became a hero among the gods. I personally dislike this narrative due to how male-centric it is. The only way for Medusa to be set free was through her son, a male figure, who was created from the trauma that was inflicted on Medusa by the same male gods that praised Pegasus.
I wanted to reimagine the winged horse as a symbol of Medusa’s freedom, and depict her soaring among the stars as a way to celebrate leaving behind the female tragedy.

Due to the nature of the chain links, the stars and clouds have some natural movement and minor imperfections due to the casting method. These do not affect the necklace's functionality when worn and returns aren't accepted for cosmetic defects. Free repairs are included for general wear and tear, as well as any manufacturing issues.
